Agenda will feature presentations by prominent scholars and political experts on the feasibility of Russia's integration with the West and whether a true alliance is possible. A separate panel will examine the role of "Kontinent" and other publications like "Novy Mir", "Grani", "Posev", "Russkaya Mysl", "Novy Zhurnal", "Vremya i My", and many others in the process of democratization of former communist countries.

Papers accepted for presentation will be published in the special issue of Kontinent.
