Victoria
M. Peterson (USA)
Victoria is the Director of Corporate & Special Programs at the
University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, MD. She is responsible
for creating and maintaining relationships with corporations and other
outside entities for the university. Prior to coming to Maryland,
Victoria was Director of the International Trade Center at Radford
University in Radford Virginia, and before joining the ITC in 1996,
Victoria was a managing partner of Mackey International, a global
business development company with offices in Scotland, Russia and
the U.S. At Mackey, she assisted U.S. and U.K. companies interested
in Russia with general importing and exporting issues, including international
contracts, joint ventures, marketing and sales.
Victoria received her BA degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College and
her International MBA degree from European University in Toulouse,
France. In addition to being an Educational Consultant for the Boston
Public Colleges, Victoria has taught at the Universite Roi Henri Christophe
in Cap-Hatien, Haiti, and in various secondary schools throughout
the U.S.
Having spent nearly eight years living overseas, Victoria has also
conducted international business and communications workshops around
the world, including Scotland, the Netherlands, France, Great Britain
and Haiti. She also teaches customer service management for UMUC.
